• Because the World would rupture without consistencies...

   

  Tomorrow’s my recital thingy, performance, contest, competition...whatever the heck you want to call it.

  Looking back on last year (and by that I mean re-reading my June 2008 entry), I am of course in better ways.

  It's pretty sad that it took me a week and something to get this song up to mundane versus unplayable...yay for buckling down when it counts.

  This songs seven and sixteenth notes are generally not considered the easiest to catch if one is unfamiliar with the technique...but in my case...because I have no technical, theoretic or even quite really practical experience regarding music- it was a little more than 'a little tricky'.

  I guess I'll never be satisfied with my dynamics. What's a piss off is my piano at home is so atrociously out of tune that I have to change my playing just to make it sound something remotely musical. Because of that, when I play on a good, in tune piano, my dynamics are off.

      And I have second thoughts about quitting piano (lessons that is) just because....if I do drop it, I'll be taking    guitar lessons.
  
  And I don't want that. Not now anyway, I don't want to be confined to 'teacher-student' learning.
  
  Anyhoo...I dunno how I’ll do tomorrow, I just realized I play at 9pm, I thought it was at 4pm but I misunderstood.
  I just feel like I'll let my mum and dad down if I don't win.
